How can I book a cabana or daybed?

In season, reservations can be made online or by speaking with our pool receptionist team. Space is limited—advance booking is highly recommended.

Are floaties and pool toys allowed?

For safety reasons, large flotation devices and pool toys are not permitted.

What amenities are included with cabana rentals?

Each cabana includes a shaded lounge area, personal safe, stocked mini-fridge with bottled water, and dedicated service. Additional food and beverage may be purchased separately.

What is the dress code at Ipanema Beach Club?

Resort-style swimwear is required. Inappropriate attire such as jeans, athletic wear, baggy clothing, or offensive clothing is not permitted. Management reserves the right to enforce the dress code.

Are there lockers available for personal items?

Lockers are not available. Guests are encouraged to store valuables in their hotel room. Cabanas include a personal safe for guest use.

Is there a re-entry policy for the pool?

Yes. Re-entry is allowed with your room key, day pass or Azul level and above Rio Rewards Card.

Does the pool area have hot tubs?

Yes, there are 2 hot tubs available at the Lagoon Pool for guests to enjoy.

Can I bring outside food and beverages to the pool?

Outside food and beverages are not permitted. Ipanema Pool offers a full-service menu with tropical cocktails, refreshing drinks, and poolside bites.

What items are prohibited from being brought into the pool?

Prohibited items include: luggage, professional cameras, glass items, sharp objects, weapons, outside food/drinks, speakers, umbrellas, beach/personal chairs, coolers/ice chests/insulated bags, illegal drugs, skateboards/scooters/hoverboards, and refillable water bottles (must be emptied upon entry).

Is there a minimum spend for cabanas and daybeds?

There is no minimum spend; however, a rental fee applies. Food and beverage purchases are separate. Pricing varies based on the day of the week and any special events.

Do you offer bottle service at the pool?

Yes! VIP bottle service is available, with a selection of premium spirits, champagne, and handcrafted cocktails. Reservations are encouraged.

Is the Rio pool open to the public?

In season, Rio's pool, also known as Ipanema Pool, is open to hotel guests and Azul-level and above Rio Rewards members. All Rio Rewards cardholders are welcome Monday through Thursday.*

Can non-hotel guests use the pool?

Ipanema Pool Access is available to hotel guests and Rio Rewards members at the Azul, Gold, and Platinum tiers. Rio Rewards Rouge tier players have access on Mondays through Thursdays, and non-hotel guests may purchase a day pass.*

Is the Rio Pool family friendly?

Yes, in season, the Fish pool is available for all ages. We also offer a 21+ pool experience at the Lagoon pool.
