Hotel Policies
What time is Rio check-in and check-out?
Check-in begins at 4 PM. Check-out is by 11 AM.
What is the minimum age to check-in?
An adult 21 years of age or older must be present to check-in to a hotel reservation at Rio Las Vegas.
What is the hotel deposit policy?
A $100 per day deposit is required on a valid credit or debit card (cash not accepted). It is released at checkout, subject to your bank's timeline. Refunds typically process within 7-10 business days and may take up to 30 days depending on your bank.
What is the incidental hold amount?
Upon your arrival, a $100/night deposit is held on a credit or debit card for incidentals and security (cash not accepted). Any remaining deposit will be returned upon checkout; refunds typically process within 7-10 business days and may take up to 30 days depending on your bank. International guests and online financial companies may take longer to release funds.
What is Rio's resort fee?
$50.00+tax ($56.69) per night, unless otherwise noted in a promotional offer.

Please note: applicable resort fees are collected by the hotel upon arrival and may not be included in the amount paid at the time of booking. This applies to Expedia and other third-party/OTA bookings as well.
I'm paying with a debit card — how long does the authorization hold take to release?
You're welcome to use a debit card. However, authorization holds are controlled by your financial institution and often take longer to be released than credit card holds. For this reason, many guests prefer to use a credit card to avoid funds being unavailable for an extended period. The hotel does not control the release process, so we're unable to guarantee a release time or quote your bank's specific timelines.
Will my deposit be refunded if I cancel my reservation?
Free cancellations are available for refundable rates if completed at least 72 hours before the check-in date. Cancellations made after this period will incur a penalty of the first night's room rate plus tax.
Please note: If your reservation was made through a 3rd party such as Expedia.com, please contact that provider directly for refund information.
Does Rio accept cash or prepaid cards?
No. Cash is not accepted. All reservations require a valid credit card or debit card for the room, taxes, and deposit.
Are there non-smoking rooms at Rio?
Yes. All rooms are non-smoking. A $500 cleaning fee applies if smoking or vaping occurs in the room.
Are pets allowed at Rio?
Yes, Rio is pet friendly. Dogs that weigh 50 lbs or less are allowed, up to 2 dogs maximum. Rio's Pet Fee is $150 per night, per dog. A registration form is required at time of check in.
How many guests are allowed in a room?
A maximum of 4 guests are allowed in our standard suites. If more than 2 adults are occupying the suite, additional charges of $35 per additional guest, per night may be applied.
Can I opt out of my housekeeping services during my stay?
Yes! If you prefer to opt out of housekeeping during your stay, simply place the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door and your room will be skipped. Please call Rio Rita at (702) 777-7777 for requests.
May I request late check out?
Late checkout can be requested on the day of departure for an additional fee and is based on availability. Speak with a front desk agent for more information.
Can I get a rollaway bed?
Rollaway beds are available for delivery at $30 per night for guests staying in rooms with King beds only. We do not offer rollaway beds for double Queen bed rooms. All suites in the Ipanema Tower offer pullout couches for your comfort.
